Track 1: Restorative Dentistry & Surgery

Dental implants are replacements for the root parts of teeth. They are placed directly into the jawbone. Natural-looking crowns or dentures are attached to the implants to form the tooth Replantation system, which can be a simple crown or a larger bridge. This can happen immediately or several weeks later, depending on your case. After the implant integrates (attaches) to your bone, it acts as a new "root" for the crown that will replace your missing tooth. A crown (cap), which is made to look like a natural tooth, is attached to the dental implant  and fills the space left in the mouth by the missing tooth. For this procedure to work there must be enough bone in the jaw. The bone has to be strong enough to hold and support the implant. If there is not enough bone, it may need to be added with a procedure called bone augmentation or bone grafting. In addition, natural human teeth and supporting tissues near where the implant will be placed must be in good health. Most dental implants are successful, and there are a few steps you can take to help ensure success and make your implant last. They are: Practice good oral hygiene, quit smoking, visit your dentist, and avoid chewing on hard foods etc.

Track 2: Cardiac Care and Therapeutics

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) refers to a broad range of diseases that affect the cardiovascular system, which includes the heart and blood vessels. Several companies are developing regenerative medicine technologies to rescue, replace and help repair these damaged heart tissues and re-vascularize heart tissue in and around areas of infarct. Several Medical members are looking into using single or mixed populations of cells, both autologous (self to self) and allogeneic (other to self) to target the effects of cardiovascular disease. Other organizations are developing advanced biologics, gene therapies and small molecule approaches that focus on the cell cycle or other pathways which may allow the regeneration of lost heart cells and tissue.

Track 3: Yoga and Physical therapy

Yoga is the practice of attaining physical and mental health through meditation and physical exercise. Yoga and Physical Therapy combines the principles and practices of yoga with physical therapies to achieve our desired outcomes. In a recent research study, the largest of its kind to date, Yoga proves to be more effective than traditional exercise science or an educational booklet for patients with chronic low back pain. In general, the practice of Yoga is associated with an individual who is "healthy," and "normal." Yoga thus is applied as more of a "preventive" practice rather than a "restorative" or "rehabilitative" one. Common physical therapy goals of enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, sequencing, motor control, kinesthetic senses, posture and alignment can be impacted with the judicious use of Yoga and certain yogic principles. It is quite clear that the art and science of Yoga could be an amazing and powerful tool that can be applied by physical therapists to help patients reach their goals, and to provide a lasting solution to many physical ailments. Used in conjunction with manual therapy, modalities and other physical therapy procedures, Yoga can be a "natural health fitness" in its various aspects, and may be applied in some or all of the rehab stages of a patient.  In addition, the feeling of well-being and other mental benefits are welcome "side effects" of this procedure!

Track 4:  Pain Medicine & Restorative care

Neurological physiotherapy is one of the most interesting and exciting advances in Medicine used to treat a variety of Neuro endocrinology and a wide variety of painful conditions. The most common practical applications are for the treatment of conditions like chronic back pain, knee or hip pain, rotator cuff tears, but also for neurological disorders like MigrainesFibromyalgia and painful neuralgias (e.g. Trigeminal), & diabetic neuropathyNeurological physiotherapy is a fascinating new medical idea because it is safe and less invasive, and it produces immediate results in treating chronic joint pain. The complete healing of the inflamed nerve and joint may take several weeks and several more treatment sessions.

A functional medicine approach will guide us through the use of tests, nutritional supplements, condition specific probiotics, botanicals, and mind-body medicine in several case histories which will be used to illustrate and enliven the talk.

Track 8: Restorative therapies for Gastrointestinal Disorders

Early colonization of the infant gastrointestinal tract is not only vital for childhood health but for our entire lives with its involvement in the development of our immune and inflammatory systems. We will review factors involved with development of the micro biota starting prenatally and how this affects future health including digestion, allergies, obesity and autoimmunity. This presentation will provide an understanding of this key imbalance to provide the knowledge necessary to treat gastrointestinal infections by restorative therapies.

Track 9: Dermatoplasty and Reconstructive Surgery

Restorative surgery is, in its broadest sense, the use of surgery to restore the form and function of the body maxilla -facial surgeons, plastic surgeonsoral surgeons and otolaryngologists do reconstructive surgery on faces after trauma and to reconstruct the head and neck after cancer. HymenorrhaphyTissue Repair and Regeneration, Autonomic Plasticity are some types of plastic surgeries. Restorative plastic surgeons use the concept of a reconstructive ladder to manage increasingly complex wounds. This ranges from very simple techniques. Biomaterials are, in their simplest form, plastic implants used to correct or replace damaged body parts.

Track 10: Restorative Therapy for Endocrinal disorders

Endocrine disorders are diseases related to the endocrine glands of the body. The endocrine system produces hormones, which are chemical signals sent out, or secreted, through the bloodstream. Hormones help the body regulate processes, such as appetite, breathing, growth, fluid balance, feminization and virilization, and weight control. Hormone therapy or hormonal therapy is the use of hormones in medical treatment. Treatment with hormone antagonists may also referred to as hormonal therapy or antihormone therapy. The most general classes of hormone therapy are oncologic hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy, of which there are various kinds. Availability of hormonal replacement offers new treatment modalities, an understanding of their mechanism of action and pharmacologic characteristics is crucial to maximize their effectiveness while minimizing possible untoward effects. In this session we are going to discuss more about types, causes, testings of endocrine disorders and how the hormonal therapy is suitable to treat the endocrinal disorders to restore the health.
